West Side Support Group

We believe that Parkinson's is something that we have. It is not our identity. Our support group will encourage unwavering optimism as we tackle Parkinson's head-on. We will be empowered by supportive friendships and contagious laughter that fuel whole-person wellness and a life overflowing with purpose. Our support network ignites personal growth, shattering isolation and elevating our well-being. Together, we redefine what's possible.

What we're all about

Be part of shaping our Parkinson's support community from the beginning, featuring engaging round-table discussions for people with Parkinson’s, and their caregivers, to tap into your ideas and foster connections. We welcome you to share your hobbies, whether they involve art, music, writing, or collecting. This combined endeavor encourages sharing your talents, reigniting passions, and discovering new interests. By integrating music, genealogy, and expert-led sessions on Parkinson's management, we'll create opportunities for growth and adding activities, such as Bingo, will ease socialization. What activities would inspire and motivate you to thrive?

Exercise and Voice Classes

Each week we provide 11 different exercise and voice classes at 3 different challenge levels to ensure each person gets what they need within a group setting.  We have a team of specially trained Physical and Speech therapists coaching Rock Steady boxing, Loud Crowd, Sing Out Loud, Kazoo Choir, Yoga and functional movement training called PWR Moves.

Education and Activities

We also have educational support group meetings once a month and a Ladies Living with Parkinson’s group as well.  Potlucks and community events such as our annual Pints for Parkinson’s and family and friends beach walk are favorites.  We are partnered with STARS rehab and provide one on one Physical, Occupational and Speech therapy services.
