West Side Support Group

At our support group, we believe that Parkinson's is something we live with—it doesn't define who we are. We're all about staying
positive and facing Parkinson's together, one step at a time. You'll find support, encouragement, and plenty of laughter here. We're
powered by friendships that lift us up and keep us going.
Our group is a place to grow, share, and celebrate wins—big or small. Together, we break through isolation, boost our wellness, and
redefine what's possible. Join us as we navigate this journey with optimism, connection, and a whole lot of heart!

West Side Parkinson's Support Group

We believe that Parkinson's is something that we have. It is not our identity. Our support group will encourage unwavering optimism as we tackle Parkinson's head-on. We will be empowered by supportive friendships and contagious laughter that fuel whole-person wellness and a life overflowing with purpose. Our support network ignites personal growth, shattering isolation and elevating our well-being. Together, we redefine what's possible.

What we're all about

Come help us shape our Parkinson's support community from the ground up! We’re creating a space filled with engaging round-table discussions for people with Parkinson’s and their caregivers—a place to share ideas, foster connections, and grow together.

Bring along your hobbies and interests—whether it’s art, music, writing, or collecting—and let’s share what sparks joy! Together, we’ll celebrate talents, explore new passions, and dive into activities like music, genealogy, and expert-led Parkinson’s sessions. We’ll also sprinkle in fun, like Bingo, to make socializing a breeze, and welcome guest speakers to answer your questions and share insights about Parkinson’s.

What would you like to learn? What inspires and motivates you? Let’s make this an uplifting, empowering space where everyone thrives—together.

Exercise and Voice Classes

Each week we provide 11 different exercise and voice classes at 3 different challenge levels to ensure each person gets what they need within a group setting.  We have a team of specially trained Physical and Speech therapists coaching Rock Steady boxing, Loud Crowd, Sing Out Loud, Kazoo Choir, Yoga and functional movement training called PWR Moves.

Education and Activities

We also have educational support group meetings once a month and a Ladies Living with Parkinson’s group as well.  Potlucks and community events such as our annual Pints for Parkinson’s and family and friends beach walk are favorites.  We are partnered with STARS rehab and provide one on one Physical, Occupational and Speech therapy services.
