What we're all about

The ReBloom Center is an upbeat, welcoming organization that provides education, empowerment, diverse exercise and voice training programs, and socialization opportunities. We recognize that Parkinson's affects individuals from all walks of life, and our mission is to provide comprehensive support that reflects the diversity of the Parkinson's community. Our programs are designed to be accessible and inclusive, addressing the unique needs of individuals from different races, cultures, sexual orientations, gender identities, religions, cognitive and psychological abilities and socioeconomic

statuses.

Exercise and Voice Classes

Each week we provide 11 different exercise and voice classes at 3 different challenge levels to ensure each person gets what they need within a group setting.  We have a team of specially trained Physical and Speech therapists coaching Rock Steady boxing, Loud Crowd, Sing Out Loud, Kazoo Choir, Yoga and functional movement training called PWR Moves.

Education and Activities

We also have educational support group meetings once a month and a Ladies Living with Parkinson’s group as well.  Potlucks and community events such as our annual Pints for Parkinson’s and family and friends beach walk are favorites.  We are partnered with STARS rehab and provide one on one Physical, Occupational and Speech therapy services.

I truly feel better every time I leave ReBloom. The staff is so knowledgeable and helpful, encouraging you while understanding what you’re going through. I have met wonderful people with all levels of Parkinson’s and has helped me except my diagnosis and work through it. The highlight of my week is my boxing class.

I just don’t know how I would be without the ReBloom Center. I’m not an avid exerciser and movement is crucial for PD patients, so I rely on the classes to keep me engaged and challenged. It also gives us the opportunity to encourage and laugh with each other. It has changed my outlook on life with Parkinson’s and I’m forever grateful to ReBloom and Stars!

I consider myself fortunate to have found such an outstanding Parkinson’s Program…and it is conveniently located. I’m committed to doing everything possible to lessen the severity of my PD and this program provides me with both a physical and mental boost each time I participate. The therapist coaches are always positive and supportive. I genuinely look forward to seeing them. Great program run by great people.

I have often thought that a boxing class would be fun, but certainly not feasible for a small-framed woman with no upper body strength. However, when I saw that the ReBloom Center was offering a class geared specifically to people with Parkinson's disease, I gave it a try. I LOVED the class, and plan to take the class two days a week for as long as I can. I feel so fortunate to have the ReBloom Center in the community where I live.
