How we work with medical professionals

To help deepen the relationship between the medical community and people with PD, as an organization, Jax Hope actively pursues and promotes opportunities for medical professionals to communicate advances in research of the understanding of PD, treatments, and developing concepts to the Jacksonville Parkinson's community. 

For years, Jax Hope and its affiliated support groups have leveraged relationships with the Mayo Clinic and other medical organizations to bring speakers and representatives to the people who desire the knowledge the most: people with Parkinson's and those who care about them. On top of the physical and mental challenges people with Parkinson's face, they also must navigate the flood of information about the disease and the medical institutions that treat their disease. Due to high demands on their time and resources, medical professionals are challenged to provide the level of knowledge exchange that individuals in the Parkinson's community may desire.
